Tell me about your job
As the Purchasing Supervisor, I efficiently manage the procurement process and supply base, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and strong vendor relationships. I conduct market analysis, negotiate with vendors, and oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from ordering to delivery. Additionally, I focus on long-term cost savings, maintain strict compliance with policies, and use key performance indicators to continually enhance our procurement strategies and inventory management.
What did you do prior to Linetec?
In my previous role as Buyer II at EFCO, I was responsible for managing daily purchase order confirmations, addressing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate part item data. I handled the ordering of both program-based and project-specific inventory, ensuring timely delivery by closely monitoring and updating order schedules. Additionally, I contributed to departmental functions, played a role in continuous improvement projects, and actively participated in company and vendor meetings to share insights from my supply chain experience.
What is the favorite part of your job?
Negotiating savings with current suppliers and provide savings for the company. Look for new suppliers if current suppliers are not performing.
What poses the biggest challenge for you?
Making sure that each area has exactly what they need in the time frame needed to do the work. Looking at current processes and making changes where they are needed.
