USGlass Green Award 2020 logo

Linetec’s Bordeaux Anodize was honored as one of only seven industry-wide 2020 Green Award Winners by USGlass Metal & Glazing. Linetec’s sustainable finish was selected in the product category for its environmentally responsible process, durability, longevity and recyclability.

As the name describes, the proprietary color leans toward rich burgundy tones. This unique, bold, earthy hue is created using a three-step electrolytic coloring process. The resulting finish meets or exceeds all AAMA-611 Class I specifications and weathering tests. Bordeaux Anodize is well suited for both exterior and interior applications on extruded, stretch-formed or flat sheet architectural aluminum products.

Among the “green” attributes highlighted by USGlass, Linetec’s Bordeaux Anodize and all of its eco-friendly anodize finishes, have earned a Declare Label as Living Building Challenge™ (LBC) Red List Free. This means that Linetec’s anodize finishing is in full compliance with the highest level of LBC criteria established through the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). Declare LBC Red List Free products are recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Rating System, the International WELL™ Building Standard, and other sustainable design and building programs.

All with a descriptive summary of Linetec’s Bordeaux Anodize, the magazine’s award issue showcases the finish on Iowa State University’s Economic Development Building’s exterior wall cladding manufactured by Metal Design Systems, Inc.
